APPLE-RED EARNS TOP HONORS IN GRAND INTERNATIONAL RED & WHITE SHOW
MADISON, WISCONSIN – KHW Regiment Apple-Red-ET was named the Grand Champion Female of the Grand International Grand Red & White Show at the 2011 World Dairy Expo in Madison, Wis. Apple-Red was the winner of the Aged Cow Class and is owned by Apple Partners of Edgerton, Wis. In addition to being tapped as the Grand Champion, Apple-Red was named Best Uddered Cow of the Show and was awarded the Udder Comfort $1000 Grand Champion Cash Award.
Milk Source Genetics of Kaukauna, Wis. exhibited the Reserve Grand Champion, Wilstar-RS Tlt Limited-Red. Limited, along with her herdmates, earned Milk Source Genetics the Premier Exhibitor Banner again this year. Honorable Mention of the show was KHW Regiment Apple 3-Red-ETN-CL, a clone of the Grand Champion. She is owned by Westcoast Holsteins of Chilliwack, BC, Canada.
The Premier Breeder was Greenlea Holsteins of Middletown, D.E. and the Premier Sire was KHW Kite Advent-Red. He is the maternal brother to the Grand Champion Cow of this year’s show.
Judge Adam Liddle of Argyle, N.Y. and Associate Judge Adam Hodgins of Kincardine, ON, Canada placed a total of 289 entries. Overall show results and top class placings are as follows:
