Youth Contests

Youth competitions World Dairy Expo is the home of national judging and skills competitions at the 4-H, FFA, intercollegiate and post secondary levels. During the week, junior dairy cattle exhibitors also compete in the show ring and in showmanship competitions.

4-H members from coast-to-coast squared off as teams and individuals in the official National 4-H Dairy Cattle Judging Contest, which will take place Monday, September 27, 2010

4-H teams will also match wits in the 4-H Dairy Quiz Bowl on Saturday, October 2.

Central National FFA events will be held at World Dairy Expo on Tuesday, September 28, including dairy cattle judging, dairy products judging, showmanship and the Forage Management Cup.

The 90th Intercollegiate Dairy Cattle Judging Contest will be held on Monday, September 27. Teams and individuals were evaluated on their linear scoring, oral reasons and judging abilities.

The 22st International Post Secondary Dairy Cattle Judging Contest will take place, Monday, September 27. Participants will be pitting their skills against one another in a three-pronged competition: practical contest, linear judging contest and traditional dairy cattle judging contest.

Junior dairy cattle exhibitors between the ages of 9 and 18 years of age will compete in the junior, intermediate and senior divisions of the Youth Showmanship Contest on Thursday, September 30.
